[I Love Dressing Up!] Blazer with Floral Tube Dress

I am not fan of blazers and haven’t been buying alot. But I am always on a lookout for a decent and yet affordable blazers.

Bought this simple blazer from Taiwan.

What I like about this blazer is, the crochet details at the sleeves!

I thought that’s something which I have yet to see in SG! Plus the material is iron-free, very much worth to buy it back to SG.

After button up, the blazer gives me a nice slimming effect on my body!

In this outfit, I am wearing a floral tube dress underneath. To avoid looking dull with the dark colours around my neckline, I put on a rose gold necklace from MLB.

I am loving my personalized necklace to bits. The rose gold seems perfect with almost all the ouftits!

[I Love Dressing Up!] Boots on a rainy day

At times, I really love the rainy days. That’s the only time where I can wear my boots! Boots in Taiwan are really cheap, S$20 can already get you one decent pair!

I did! I bought one pair of boots home from Taiwan trip! If not for the luggage weight, I would have bought a few more pairs!

Stockings at Taiwan are also cheap! Only a few bucks for designed ones! I bought many pairs home! Hehe!

For accessories, I picked a peter pan detachable collar necklace ordered from Taobao.

It has got some gold details which I thought can help to liven up the black outfit. Close up details in this blogpost.

Here’s my outfit for a rainy day, on my way to work!

It so happens that my dress, stockings and boots are all bought from Taiwan. The blazer which I’m holding is also from Taiwan. (Featured in this blogpost)

I uploaded this OFTD to my FB and instagram, it has received quite a few compliments. ^.^

My two best tops bought during Taiwan Trip!

It’s almost 3 months since I flew to Taiwan and I have been missing the holiday everyday!

I have mentioned before, shopping at Taipei is so much more worth it than Bangkok!

Showcasing you my 2 favourite tops which I’ve bought from Taipei.

Top favourite is this pink blouse!

Sheer and simple?

Check out the back!

The ribbon behind caught my eyes and tells me die die also must buy! The attached ribbon is not removable but it adds a sweet look to the outfit.

Since the front view looks simple, I put on a “hot air balloon” necklace!

This necklace is also one of my buys in Taipei. Their accessories designs were ALOT and I had a hard time choosing!

Look closely and you’ll see a dangling diamante, bringing out a little bling!

My number 2 top is cut-out shoulder blouse!

I don’t really fancy the tie string below the buttons but I bought it anyway, because…

Yea, the crochet design back!

It’s quite translucent with the holes here and there, so I wear a white lace tube underneath.

At first I was still a tad worried I would look weird with blue at front and another at the back. But turns out, I think it’s not too bad.

These two tops are also my current favourite for a weekend and buffet meals!

[I Love Dressing Up!] Student-looking Blouse

Bought this blouse during my last year’s BKK trip. I fell in love with its minty shade and peterpan flap collar.

I have only worn it once because it makes me feel like a young student. :(

After ONE YEAR, I decided to give it another chance. This time I paired it with 3/4 pants which I bought from G2000.

Not sure if it’s the pants, I looked kinda weird in it. Anyway, I am not a fan of pants, especially those for office wear!

But due to my new job environment, I have to bear with it for the time being.

Also now that collars are in trend, I am going to keep this piece for another period of time.  (:

Anyway, I try to cheer up my outfit with a pair of wedges!

Wedges are bought during my Taiwan trip. They are super comfy and comes with back zip making it easier to wear.

For those who have been following me at twitter and instragram, you’ll prolly know how often my recent OTD are full of my buys from Taiwan trip. I really miss holidaying there. Can’t wait to go back again!

[I Love Dressing Up!] Green x Black

When comes to apparel, I don’t see the need to buy atas brands. It’s not like as if branded outfits will make you look like a star??

For a shopaholic like me who tends to feed the wardrobe and changes into numerous outfits everyday, I have to spend as little as possible on clothes that I know I won’t be keeping them for long. Furthermore, I won’t feel so painful when comes to throwing the unworn clothes away.

Bugis Street is one of my favourite shopping paradise in SG. I am mostly attracted to their $10, $12, $15 and $20 buys. Anything more than $20, I will save my money.

Cheaper item doesn’t mean the quality if going to be very lousy. My tip is to buy those made with non-cotton material.

Check out this 10-dollar green blouse which I bought few months ago at Bugis Street. I must say the material is fab and it’s iron-free.

Initially I wanted to wear it as a dress, but the bottom part alittle too flare and tends to fly up when wind blows. In the end I pair it with leggings, 3/4 pants or shorted underneath.

And because the blouse kind of flare and loose, I add on a belt.

In this case I prefer a black belt with some silver/gold plating so as not to make the outfit looking dull.

Anyway, Bugis Street has become more interesting since few months ago. Level 3 has opened up with more shops and is selling affordable trendy items, just like level 2.

The only disappointment I have is that, most $10 items have hiked up to $12 and $15.  ):

[I Love Dressing Up!] Smooch’s Issey Pleated Mini Dress in French Rose

French Rose is the colour name for this Issey Pleated  mini dress from Smooch! Very gorgeous colours, suitable for any occasions!

Very easily pair up with a black blazer to give a formal look at work.

This pleated dress doesn’t give my body a slimming effect but I love how flowy it is!

The curls at the hem gives the dress an elegant kind of look, and I love how fab the material is. Yes, it’s iron-free.

The love here is the “rattan-basket” neckline! Pretty and uniquely designed without creating any discomfort during wearing!

Another good buy from Smooch.  (:

Accessory I pair with is a “Taken” necklace from Diva.

Mitju Sale! 50% off for every 2nd pair bought!

Walked past the Mitju outlet at Raffles Place Exchange this afternoon and saw there’s a sale!

I haven’t been buying from Mitju for a very long time because I was disappointed with the hike in their prices. The price doesn’t seem to justify the quality and design on their footwear.

Just when I was getting bored with my overworn flats, I decided to buy from Mitju sale.

What the sale was all about is, for every pair of shoes bought, the 2nd pair (of equal/lower value than the other first pair) gets 50% off! I thought that’s a pretty good time for me to stock up!

S$36.90 for this pair of “buckle-and-flat-bow” flats:

This is like my first pair of bright-coloured flats! I used to be buying shoes which are of dull colours like black, beige, nude, white, grey. Though easy to match with any outfits, but seriously, my feet look boring in them!

S$17.45 (Before 50%discount was S$34.90) for this pair of fluffy open-toe wedges:

The height of the wedges isn’t high, and this makes my feet feeling comfy when standing for long hours.

But what caught my eyes on this pair was because of the leather ruffles! They look so sweet! Reminds me of those ruffles on Bikini! :D

There were 3 or 4 colours available, iirc, navy blue, black, beige, nude pink which I picked.

I am not sure if this sale applies to all outlets and when it will end, but no harm dropping by if you are planning for a shopping trip this weekend.

Cheers!

[I Love Dressing Up!] Outfit of the Day with my new Quilted Sling!

As usual, I am still actively doing online shopping, just that I have narrowed down the long list of blogshops to a shorter list. :)

My top favourite is Smooch. I truely enjoyed my blogshopping with them, mainly because of the easy payment. I don’t use Ibanking and Paypal option at Smooch really gives me alot of convenience.

One of my favourite dresses from Smooch is Delia Tiered dress. I bought the one in cyan, which sorts of add some brightness to my wardrobe.

My guy and mum have almost thought it’s a 2-piece dress.  Well, this is what I like in the dress: It brings out a little different from what it’s supposed to be like!

Anyway, to make my outfit looks more cheery, I paired it with a carousel necklace bought during my TW trip last month. The carousel necklace was in gold plated chain with some blue which matched pretty well with my cyan dress.

To complete my outfit, I picked a sling bag which also has some little gold plated metals.

I didn’t think I looked over doing it, did I?

Black bag never goes wrong with any outfit! I totally dig my new black quilted bag from Danxuan.livejournal.

Quilted design is one of the designs which has yet to go out of trend for the past few years. Somehow it brings out a soft touch of elegance to bags. Oh yes, it comes in those soft faux leather material. :)

Going out without a bag? I cannot!

I have quite abit of small miscellaneous items to put into my bag whenever I go out! And these excludes my makeup pouch. It’s so not nice to keep carrying bulky fat bags.

But with my new quilted sling bag, I was able to dump all my necessary stuff inside it!

The bag looking BIG? Not really~!

It doesn’t have a wide base but its length and moderate height makes it very usable.

There are a total of 3 small compartments by the sides, one of them is zipped.

Dumping all my barang barang inside…

The sling bag also has a zip for closure, to avoid the items from falling out.

And despite so many of my barang barang, the bag can still be zipped without bulging here and there!

Quality of my quilted sling bag is extremely good. All stitches and sewing are neatly done with no thread fraying.

Another way of carrying the  bag is ….

I just have to push the straps into the bag, zip it up, and carry it like a clutch!

That’s how versatile the bag is!

My quilted sling bag is retailing at SGD25, comes in 4 colours.

More details on my quilted bag can be found at Danxuan.livejournal.

Other than pairing it with blue and a little gold, I have also tried pairing it with beige/pink, a casual outfit which I own recently. Pink blouse and crochet shorts are from Taipei while my sandals are bought from Hong Kong.

I didn’t think I look too weird, perhaps a little too casual. Then again, that day was a hot day, I just had to wear something light and comfy. So I didn’t really pay much attention in colour matching.

This time, my necklace was in rose gold, from MyLittleBow.

It’s not my first time dealing with MLB, fast and efficient are why I go back to them. :)

That’s all for this blogpost! It has been a.long time since I blog about my shopping buys and dressing up stuff. Hope to have time for more of these later on!

Collar Necklaces Addiction and Addition!

Following my first buy of collar necklace mentioned in this blogpost, I’m officially hooked to buying more!

My loot from Taobao arrived! This was the one I missed it at Smooch previously!

The beads look like they are glued to the collar cloth but they seem to me the workmanship is pretty good, so far, no beads has dropped off! *touchwood*

The clasp of the collar is well-secured. It doesn’t get loose and is clasped firmly through the day.

My 3rd piece collar necklace from a spree at Flair-closet.The waiting time though a few weeks, was really killing me, especially when I was so hooked to collar necklaces.

This piece is slightly thinner than previous ones.

I love the sequins with the white pearls attached along the perimeter of the collar necklace.

The only problem I have with this one is the clasp. It keeps getting loose, quite annoying. Gonna find my way to sew it closer, close the little gap to avoid it from loosen.

Looking classy anytime with it!

4th piece is here from Smooch!

What attracts to comment for this piece is the bling bling scattered on the collar necklace! They look too bling to be missed! Quality and workmanship are fab fab fab! Even though it’s a little ex, I don’t mind!

I actually wear it in two ways! I think it’s not so bad-looking to wear the ribbon sash on the front right?! I don’t know, I guess I just have to find suitable top to pair with “wearing style”.

I received a lot of glimpses when I wore it once! I bet it means my collar necklace is chio? *thick-skinned*

As of today, all in all I have only 4 pieces collar necklaces. 1 more is coming up soon! It’s from Smooch! I missed my chance getting it during the launch hence am joining their BO. Cannot wait to receive them anytime soon!

Flare Sleeve Dress! LOVE the butterfly sleeves!

Bought this black bodycon dress from JasModa. The seller was very kind and patient towards me. I forgot about making payment via the ATM, and I had exceeded the 24 hours payment granted time!

Luckily my item was still in my cart!

What caught my eyes on this piece was its butterfly (or fluttered, whatever name it is) sleeves!

Its translucent chiffon sleeves makes the piece so gorgeous IMO.

Material for the bodycon dress is a little thin, made of thin lycra… I wish there was an inner linen included….

I like the rounches, they help to hide away the tummy. Material isn’t as shiny as the photo above which was taken with flash.

Its neckline wasn’t very low-cut too, thanks to the overlapping design at the chest area!

But overall, still not so bad, very comfortable. It was retailing at SGD27, reasonable.

Suitable for both work and play. =)
