[Review] New ASIENCE Leave-On Hair Treatment

Lotsa changes in my body hormones ever since I am pregnant. Other than the increase in weight, waistline, bust line, tiny bumps on forehead and pigmentation issues, my hair condition has been affected too. Because of morning sickness and tiredness, I hardly have the energy to take care of my skin and hair, which results in dryness for both.

When I am introduced to the new range of leave-on hair treatment from ASIENCE, I decided to take the sponsorship and give it a try, also to give my hair a second chance.

As my hair is seriously “dying”, I decided to give all 3 products a try. My hair sure needs all the hassle-free care and treatment.

I keep the ASIENCE Leave-On Treatment Water in my office. Whenever my hair dry and tangled, I will just give it a few sprays, use my fingers to comb through my hair, and less than a minute, my hair is fixed. Recommended to use on damp hair but I like to use it on dry hair to give my hair some hydration as and when I feel my hair is dry.

You know how strong the wind can mess up my hair when I return to office after lunch? ASCIENCE Leave-On Treatment Water helps to keep my hair moisturized and in a way, easy to comb and tidy it after lunch.

When I am at home,I will just apply ASIENCE Leave-On Treatment Oil to ensure my hair is looking healthy when I’m out. Recommended to use on damp hair, but I’ve no problem in applying it on dry hair.

I am surprised it’s not oily at all. Not oily as in my hands do not feel abit of oiliness. Despite not being oily, ASIENCE Leave-On Treatment Oil is able to fix my dry and untamed hair.

ASCIENCE Leave-On Treatment Oil is my pick from this range, the non-oily texture moisturizes my hair ends and maintain nice hair shine.

For those who don’t mind milk texture, ASIENCE Leave-On Treatment Milk deals with dry & frizzy hair.

It’s a little sticky for my liking. I have to wash my hands with soap after application as I am the one who likes hands to feel oily/sticky.

The result is almost immediate when I apply two pumps on my hair ends to mid hair length. Because it’s in milk texture, I choose to apply on my damp hair after hair wash. My hair feels very easy to manage and tangle free when it turns dry.

I am not sure if my sniffing sense has been affected from my pregnancy, but I don’t really find any scent from this range, which is good for me. My pregnancy cannot stand strong scent.

My Experience with Shunji Matsuo

Got my hair colour fix with Shunji Matsuo a couple of weeks ago.

Prior to the hair session, I have went to another hair salon to colour my hair black. The reason why I chose black was to make my hair look more voluminous. However somehow the colour wasn’t long lasting and my hair were back to brownish again, especially the hair ends were looking like light orangy brown and dry.

Fanny, from Shunji Matsuo (Ngee Ann City outlet) totally understood what my hair was lacking of, the natural shine and volume. Fanny knew my concern was not about fancy colours. Very much I was wishing for an ombre dye, it just didn’t suit my hair at this point of time.

Having a 9-year experience in the hair industry, Fanny said most colours would suit my skintone, and recommended me a 2-tone colour, dark red brown & yellow beige.

Dark red brown is mainly on my hair top and top hair layers to make my hair look a little thicker, while the yellow beige in the under layers are to add a little shine to my hair. Anyway, a 1-tone colour will be too boring right?

Fanny also gave me a hair colour treatment after the hair colouring session.

Masking my hair has never been so relaxing for me. I had my hairmask and hair steam while lying comfortable on their Yume chair with adjustable basin that provide better support and fit during hair treatment! Can fall asleep without having to worry about knocking the head on those hair steamer that has the shape of a helmet~

After my hair treatment, Fanny gave some curls to my hair using curling tongs.

The curls actually lasted quite well till end of the day.

I am now having some thoughts of buying a curling tong after seeing the beautiful curls created by Fanny.

Most hair dye tends to dry up the hair, but after my session with Shunji Matsuo, my hair condition seems to have improved! The hair ends are less frizzy.

L’Oréal Hair Expertise EverStyle

Do you have the dilemma of wanting to style your hair everyday but also worried about damaging the hair with the heat and chemical-formulated hair products?

This is easy to use as blowing is optional. I’ll just have to apply on my damped hair and spread evenly using fingers, create some volume using my fingers and leave the hair to dry by itself.

For an even more volumizing look, Volume Root Lifting Spray (S$18.90) helps because it is a spray that concentrates on the hair roots, builds up thickness and lift at the roots.

After my hair has turned dry, because of the increase in the volume on my hairtop, twisting my fringe to the hairtop is easier. My hair looks less limpy as well.

Re-Launch of Ichikami Hair Products in Singapore!

Ichikami haircare, have you tried it? I am loving the nice scent from this haircare. It makes my hair feeling soft and smooth, very easy to manage.

#Review# Keratinology by Sunsilk – Advanced Reconstruction Program

And together with some bloggers, I was invited by Keratinology for a event, to find out more about this brand. Keratinology was also very generous to provide each of a complete set of the products to try them out.

It’s right now my complete set for my seriously dry and damaged hair. Have just started using and am still monitoring the results. But some of the products are already giving me instant result each time I use! Read on to find out which!

Shampoo and conditioner are the basics. This shampoo is a Detoxifying shampoo to ensure all dirts and residues are cleansed off from the hair, to prep the hair for the next haircare. Surprisingly for me, the shampoo doesn’t make my hair feels dry despite it has the capability to give both hair and scalp a thorough cleanse. The next haircare to be used is of course the  Express Treatment conditioner. It provides deep conditioning to the hair and also help to start reconstruct the hair immediately. Hair is more easier to manage after conditioning.

Just like how often we mask out face, the hair needs a weekly hair mask as well. Keratinology Advanced Reconstruction Program Hair Spa mask penetrates 3 layers of the hair fibre! It also helps to seal up the cuticles to prevent shine loss. I love how soft and smooth my hair feels after using it. A good tip will be to apply it on towel-dried hair, clip up with hair and leave it on for about 30 minutes before rinsing. My hair tends to almost zero tangle after rinsing.

Other than daycare for the hair, night care is also necessary. Overnight Reconstruction comes in. This is my favourite product. It’s non greasy and very lightweight to leave it on through out the night. It also helps to prevent my hair from further moisture loss while sleeping in air-conditioned room. It contains  nutrients for the hair, provides intense repair for up to 8 hours as I sleep. The next morning when I wake up, my hair feels smooth and light!

My first time to know a haircare which comes in two tiny tubes for a 2-step hair treatment. Dual Shot Treatment is its name. Step 1 helps to provide intense repair, and step 2 helps to lock in the shine and smoothness of the hair.

This is necessary just like our skin. After giving it all the moisture and nutrients, sealing up all the goodness will help to ensure a long lasting and better results.

For those who tends to blow dry the hair, or performs DIY curls on the hair occasionally, Heat Protector Spray is going to come in handy. When the hair is frequently exposed to heat from hairstyling tools, the hair tends to turn frizzy or gets brittle. #Review# Curl Control from Style Aromatherapy

I have 3 bottles of haircare products couriered to me from Style Aromatherapy.

• Anti-dandruff
• Moroccan Argan Oil
• Curl Control

Style Aromatherapy haircare products do not just provide care, but also helps to make styling easy.

I always have a hard time trying to tame my hair frizz. Constant hair-rebonding in the past has somehow damaged my hair structure, and my hair never returns to its healthy condition ever since. Sad max.

So, out of the 3 products which I receive, I pick Curl Control to be the first to try out, hoping that it can help to give a long-lasting result at least for a day.

Style Aromatherapy Curl Control is basically an leave-in moisturizer for hair. It can be used on both damped or dry hair after shampoo.

The trick is, pump generously, using fingers to brush through the hair strands many times for to ensure the moisturizer is evenly spread.

Cream-type texture, feels alittle greasy. Some parts of the hair (when dried) may feel a bit sticky if the cream is not evenly spread.

The aroma from Curl Control  somehow calmed my mind and that night, I had a good sleep till the next morning. No wonder it’s called Hair Aromatherapy.

Seems to me the product has a 3-in-1 function!

Some of the hair frizz was tamed. There was more shine on my hair when it’s dried.

The tamed frizz lasted for about 8 hours before a big gush of wind messed up my hair. O.O

My verdict says: It’s still worth a try, if you’ve got thick coarse hard-to-control hair.

My Scalp Treatment Experience at TrichoKare – it was HEAVEN!

Consultation was given before the treatment. Mainly scanning and checking on my scalp. I had about 4 snapshots of my scalp conditions shown to me. My consultant also gave me an easily understandable explanation on how the hair grows, the root cause to my hair loss and oily scalp. It seemed that I had got very oily scalp and some of my hair pores were clogged, which prevented nutrients from flowing in, and hence no new hair growth. Lack of nutrients also causes my current hair to turn weak, and that explains the hair fall and hair thinning issue.

After the consultation, I was brought to another room where I could have my hair treatment done.

I personally feel TrichoKare emphasizes alot on customer’s comfort and privacy. Every seat had a partitioned panel. There’s no worry about feeling embarrassed or unglamorous.

Hair washing area at TrichoKare looks very cosy. The ambiance, interior design and service made my hair washing so relaxing that I could fall asleep.I was offered blanket to keep myself warm. That’s very nice! Each time a rising is required, a new blanket was given. Very clean and hygienic salon.

In this treatment, a deep cleansing shampoo was used. It was a mint shampoo. I called it mint shampoo because it gave my scalp a cooling sensation during shampoo-ing.

My Therapist towel-dried my hair and applied hot mask in the next step.

This Hot mask was like a detox product, it was supposed to remove the excess oil on my scalp, and at the same time define my hair pore for a better hair growth.

Hot mask was in green solution, (I bet it’s because of the European Herbs). My scalp felt like cool and minty. After application, leave on for 5 minutes. Then rinse and apply conditioner.

Even during hair rinsing, my Therapist tried to untangle my hair very gently. She took the imitative to ask me if I was alright with her strength which was really comfortable on me.

My therapist was very professional and gentle. She knew what she was doing. Throughout my treatment, my Therapist would let me know what the next step she was going to perform on me, and what products she was applying.

So after the conditioning and rinsing, I was back to my seat. It was time to apply the hair tonic.

Drying the scalp was a must before tonic application. Drying scalp was done by hair dryer, at a warm temperature. Hair tonic was applied all over my scalp, but main focus was on my head top and crown area. Tonic bottle has spraying nozzle, easy to use. Daily use can last about half a month.

Here comes the most pleasing and enjoying session.

A warm pack was placed on my shoulders to keep them relaxed. My Therapist gave me 2 rounds of head/neck/shoulders massage after applying the tonic!

When it was time to dry hair, hair oil/lotion was applied to my hair ends to protect the heat from hair dryer.

The drying was a simple one, but I noticed the gentleness in my Therapist, I could see she really tried to take good are of my hair.

Protein was then applied on my hair before the Infrared treatment.

Infrared treatment was to improve the blood circulation in my head, and also to ensure that the tonic was further penetrated deep down to my hair roots, underneath the scalp.

I was done when the Infrared treatment ended. I returned to the consultation room and did another scan check on my scalp. One immediate result was improvement in a more defined pore on my scalp. There were also less clogged pores as compared to my scan before the treatment.

I felt good after the session, there was no sign of itchiness or irritation. My scalp felt clean and fresh. =)

When I was told that my leave-on would be 5 minutes, it was really 5 minutes. There was no case like while doing my leave-on, she would attend to another customer, which tend to delay herself in attending me. (Happened to me at another salon, total disappointment, I had to wait for 20 mins for her to finish doing another customer before coming back to me!) But no for TrichoKare, there was not a single minute that I had to wait for my Therapist. When my 5 minutes leave-on was up, my Therapist attended to my punctually. Every therapist has a timer to time their customers, I guess this make the service deserved to be praised.

My scalp feels uber cooling during shampooing!

The cooling sensation didn’t come immediately during shampooing. Infact, it was like after 10 minutes of massaging, just before I wanted to rinse my hair, I began to feel the cooling minty sensation on my scalp.

It’s a pity the cooling sensation was not very strong, else my scalp would have felt very cooling and refreshing!

As for the scent from the shampoo, there wasn’t any nice scent. But it made my scalp and hair felt very clean after rinsing.

After towel-drying my hair, my hair was very manageable, easy to comb even without using a hair conditioner. I then let my hair dried by itself under the ceiling fan. On and off I would use my fingers to brush through my hair, I could feel the smoothness on my hair strands, there was no hair entanglement.

It’s a pity there wasn’t any nice scent.

Shampooing with Female CLEAR Anti Hair Fall shampoo…

There were alot of foams during foaming. I took about an amount slightly less than a 50-cent coin for my long hair. Very easy to massage on my scalp, I enjoyed massaging my scalp and spent about 10 minutes doing that. =)

Its fragrance was very light, there wasn’t any long-lasting scent after shampooing. My scalp and hair felt clean and light. I washed my hair without a conditioner because I wanted to see what’s the softeness level this Anti Hair Fall shampoo could have on my fine hair.

Well, in terms of softness after shampooing, i give 5 out of 5!

I had no problem combing my hair, trying to separate the entangled strands under a towel-dried hair condition.

I let my hair dried by itself before heading to bed. he next morning when I woke up……………………………….

My hair turned out to be extremely extremely soft and smooth! Too bad there wasn’t any nice scent on it. After a few hours leaving the house, my hair became a little fluffy, looked slightly volumized but naturally good.

His Trial ‘n’ Thoughts

For himself, he had no preferences on choosing shampoo. What he’s looking for was one which could really clean and care for the scalp and hair. So far, those scalp-care shampoo which he tried, were pretty drying for his hair. Each time he tried, his hair felt coarse and dry, the hair tend to look dull over time. He practically given up hope in choosing a good shampoo, which was why he had no preferences at all.
