[Review] New ASIENCE Leave-On Hair Treatment

Lotsa changes in my body hormones ever since I am pregnant. Other than the increase in weight, waistline, bust line, tiny bumps on forehead and pigmentation issues, my hair condition has been affected too. Because of morning sickness and tiredness, I hardly have the energy to take care of my skin and hair, which results in dryness for both.

Recommended to use on damp hair but I like to use it on dry hair to give my hair some hydration as and when I feel my hair is dry.

I am surprised it’s not oily at all. Not oily as in my hands do not feel abit of oiliness. Despite not being oily, ASIENCE Leave-On Treatment Oil is able to fix my dry and untamed hair.

It’s a little sticky for my liking. I have to wash my hands with soap after application as I am the one who likes hands to feel oily/sticky.

The result is almost immediate when I apply two pumps on my hair ends to mid hair length. Because it’s in milk texture, I choose to apply on my damp hair after hair wash. My hair feels very easy to manage and tangle free when it turns dry.

I am not sure if my sniffing sense has been affected from my pregnancy, but I don’t really find any scent from this range, which is good for me. My pregnancy cannot stand strong scent.

I love how Lip Drops lippie give the plumping effect to my lips each time my lips facing dry situation. The glossy and dewy effect add a shine and moist to the lips, and make the lips looking so kissable!

3 new eye colour palettes are added to the Eyes Groovy range.

From left to right, we have Pinkish Brown, Clean Gray and Wine Red.

All 3 palettes suit a different occasion with their long lasting colours which are very pigmented on the skin. The powder is easily glided and blended. I notice that the eye shadow colours tend to change over light reflection. At one point when the light is shown from an angle, the pearly shade may look sheer, but when light is shone from another angle, it looks intense.

The last star product from Za will be the Killer Volume Mascara. This mascara has the biggest and thickest bristles that I’ve ever tried.

Because of the thick bristles, I have no problem volumising my eyelashes, even the shorter ones lower eyelashes.

I have thought it’s those tear drops with shimmer for highlights on the eyelids. I was wrong. This white tube is actually a lash care for the eyelashes! Lash Jelly Drops is a rich treatment gel for repair and protect the fragile eyelashes. It somehow makes my eyelashes look more define and makes mascara application smoother with less clumps.

Already launched since 24 Jan 2013.

A new mascara is also added to its mascara family, Lash Expander Edge Meister.

I like how the mascara coats darken my eyelashes, making them look much more define than before. Lengthening-wise, not too bad, but I tend to create uneven length because of the different amount of mascara fibre I pick up each time.

The duo comb makes eyelash separation very easy for both upper and lower eyelashes. But too many coats will cause some clumping, because of the fibre, and when this happens, eyelash separation using the duo comb is not effective anymore.

And finally… here’s my pick from Majolica Majorca Chapter 36! It’s my very own Little Humming Book 1 !!

Isn’t the packaging too pretty to resist?!

The Little Humming Book totally looks like a book that tells a story in music notes. It ends with a page of the 4 gorgeous colours.

Most eye palettes have light-colored base. In Little Humming Book 1, the base colour is the a dark one. The two eye shadow eye colours, Flower Dust is more to a light pink, while Green Shower is in mint. Both can be applied on their own as eyeshadow or as highlight on the lower lids, or mixed with the Moonless Night dark-colored base.

A different angle from the light reflection  gives a different shimmer eye makeup look. Very versatile colours for both day and night looks! I like how the colours look so pigmented on my skin with light dabs.

Tulip Bed is a gloss here. So, do not mistaken it as an eye shadow ya!

Because of the little book packaging, I am so going to keep my Little Humming Book 1 for a quite before throwing it away after hitting the pan!

The Little Humming Book 1 is to be launch on 28 Feb 2013. It may be gone fast as this will be launched in limited edition.

My Experience with Shunji Matsuo

Got my hair colour fix with Shunji Matsuo a couple of weeks ago.

Prior to the hair session, I have went to another hair salon to colour my hair black. The reason why I chose black was to make my hair look more voluminous. However somehow the colour wasn’t long lasting and my hair were back to brownish again, especially the hair ends were looking like light orangy brown and dry.

Fanny, from Shunji Matsuo (Ngee Ann City outlet) totally understood what my hair was lacking of, the natural shine and volume. Fanny knew my concern was not about fancy colours. Very much I was wishing for an ombre dye, it just didn’t suit my hair at this point of time.

Having a 9-year experience in the hair industry, Fanny said most colours would suit my skintone, and recommended me a 2-tone colour, dark red brown & yellow beige.

Dark red brown is mainly on my hair top and top hair layers to make my hair look a little thicker, while the yellow beige in the under layers are to add a little shine to my hair. Anyway, a 1-tone colour will be too boring right?

Fanny also gave me a hair colour treatment after the hair colouring session.

Masking my hair has never been so relaxing for me. I had my hairmask and hair steam while lying comfortable on their Yume chair with adjustable basin that provide better support and fit during hair treatment! Can fall asleep without having to worry about knocking the head on those hair steamer that has the shape of a helmet~

After my hair treatment, Fanny gave some curls to my hair using curling tongs.

The curls actually lasted quite well till end of the day.

I am now having some thoughts of buying a curling tong after seeing the beautiful curls created by Fanny.

Most hair dye tends to dry up the hair, but after my session with Shunji Matsuo, my hair condition seems to have improved! The hair ends are less frizzy.

[Product Review] But Becky Radiance & Luminous Pearl Mask

Here’s my review after trying out the Radiance Luminous Pearl Mask!

I enjoyed the masking session with But Becky. But the scent is abit too sweet for my liking. When I first torn open the packaging, the scent was still alright. But when I had the mask sheet on my face, I find the scent rather too sweet and a little choking for me.

But I like how the mask sheet fitted nicely on me with my chin, jaws lifted up by the ear hooks.

The wasn’t alot of difference by just a one-time masking session. But I did notice a slight improvement on my skin’s radiance, the cheek bone and jawline.

Because the skin had also been moisturized by the masking essence, it felt supple and soft after masking.

For a box of 8 pcs selling at only SGD14.90, it’s quite a reasonable price for the quality I can expect.

Gonna mask it again for the next few days, I am targeting to finish the whole box before February and see what the result is!

[Product Review] Kick It Side 3-piece point make up! Photo overloads!

I have received a 3-piece point makeup kit from Skin79 recently. The kit looks so chic that I decided to try it out immediately last weekend!

Skin79, the renounced Korean BB cream brand has now developed a whole series of makeup range. Kick It Side is the new brand name for the make up range that is all about the new K-POP look in trendy colours. Kick It Side cosmetics carry pretty bright colours and long-lasting texture to complete the creative and fantastic makeup simply and easily.

Let’s Go Glam! Kick It Side Eyeshadow Base

To start it off, I laid my hands on this pot of creamy texture eyeshadow base! Available in Metallic Pearl and Silvery Grey with chic names, “Come On” and “Go Out” respectively!

For a natural yet brighten up eyes, “Come On” is THE ONE!

It isn’t as soft as what I have expected, then again, using the appropriate tool to scoop up the appropriate amount is easy. Try to avoid using fingers  which may contaminate the product/colour to pick up the eye shadow.

A few ways to pick up the eyeshadow:

• Using cotton bud/spatula, followed by using fingers to pat and blend.
• Using makeup sponge/brush and blend

Shimmer and colour wise are not very intense for Come On, the metallic pearl shade is almost sheer and natural. But it sure help to brighten up and brings a deeper crease line from my double eyelids when I open up my eyes.

One plus point that I must bring out, it is the promised and guarantee non-smudging and non-creasing properties! Despite after wearing it for the whole day, there was not a single bit of embarrassing crease line on my eyelids (when eyes are closed/blinked)! Not only that, the velvety silky finish remains long lasting till the end of the day!

Oh yes, it can also be used as a highlighter for the inner corner of the eyes and even bottom eyelines!

The silvery grey Go Out will be a good choice when comes to smokey eyes look.

Hey! Excolor me? Kick It Side Fantastic Eyeliner

After applying Come On, I actually skipped eyeshadow and followed up with the Kick It Side Fantastic Eyeliner with its interesting tagline “Hey! Excolor me?” Oh yes yes yes, I wana color you!

 

Drew my eyeline with Wanderers Brown. I am wondering if it is because it is in crayon texture, gliding isn’t as smooth as what I have hoped for. I am too used to drawing eyeline using liquid eyeliner.

It is retractable and comes with build-in sharpener at the back of the eyeliner.Use the sharpener to control the thickness of the lines.

Wanderers Brown becomes intense with slight glittering after a few strokes.

Kick It Side Fantastic Eyeliner is also waterproof and smudge proof! It didn’t stain my eyelids! Tested and proven by me!

Kick It Side Mascara

Only available in two types, one for lengthening and another for voluminous eyelashes.

I got the Hedwig Lash to try. Gosh, I love it LOR!

The deep black and fast-drying formula gives high definition to my eyelashes, no worries about lash clumps and smudging!

Hegwig Lash comes with a curved brush with bristles in rich coats. The curve is so well-designed that even short/drooped lashes can be well-coated.

I don’t really believe in zig-zag application for mascara. Bear in mind, there’s no rules on how you want to do your makeup. As long as my lashes can be well coated and separated, zig-zag or vertical directions can work well together.

Super easy to apply even on my short bottom eyelashes!

From side view, my eyelashes look really naturally long and thick, a good substitution for falsies! No eyelash curler is used in this review.

To create an even more dramatic look, try using both Hegwig Lash and Poseidon Lash together!

Finally, I want to emphasize that Kick It Side mascara contains ingredients that care for the eyelashes, keeping them strong and healthy.

I have to admit that Kick It Side makeup is indeed smudge-free and long lasting (as long as 8  hours when I last used it) despite having an oily face after 5 hours.

Sharing my review after using the new Biore facial foam cleansers.
