#Review# Neutrogena Hydro Boost Night Concentrate Sleeping Pack

Here’s my review on Hydro Boost Night Concentrate Sleeping Pack from Neutrogena.

CozyCot has sponsored me this blue baby to try out on myself. I fall in love this new baby with just one night use!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost is really like a moisture boost for my skin during my sleep. Everynight I am always sleeping in air-conditioned room. No doubt that I do put on night cream before sleep, I still wake up with an oily face. It’s like my night cream has been absorbed or evaporated when I sleep, due to lack of moisture, my skin produces excess sebum to moisture itself. I don’t really like this feeling.

The texture is very light, and has this tiny blue beads on it. The blue beads aren’t meant for scrubbing the skin. I believe they are part of the “Progressive Release System” that is formulated inside Neutrogena Hydro Boost Night Concentrate Sleeping Pack, to provide moisture to the skin throughout the night.

After massaging, the blue beads begin to dissolve. Spreading of the sleeping pack is smooth and messy-free.

What happens in the “Progressive Release System” from the sleeping pack is, it has the ability to provide continuous moisture to the skin because of the high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid, Olive extract and Ionic Mineral Complex. These 3 key ingredients help to improve skin’s moisture, preventing fine lines, while keeping the skin supple.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Night Concentrate Sleeping Pack is meant to be applied only in the night where rinsing is not required. It acts a like a moisturizing mask on my skin when I sleep. Because the texture of the cream is very light, other than a bit of stickiness, I don’t see it as an issue to make my sleep uncomfortable.

However, night moisturizer is still recommended to be used before applying Neutrogena Hydro Boost Night Concentrate Sleeping Pack. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Night Concentrate Sleeping Pack acts like a protective layer on my skin on top of night moisturizer. It’s like sealing up the moisture from my moisturizer, keeping my skin more moisturized than before!

When I wake up the next morning, the first thing I will do is to rinse off the protective layer on my skin which feels supple and smooth even before facial wash is used!

Definitely one of the best sleeping pack I’ve ever used!

#Review# The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter

Applying body care is really not what I like to do despite my skin is getting drier each day. I must confess I have been lazy when comes to body moisturizing. Body care products give me the impression of leaving my body sticky and oily, makes it so uncomfortable to sleep or at work.

I usually apply on my hands and if there’s excess, I will put them on my calves. A closer view on my legs, some areas on the skin look like dry-scaly texture, and this means my skin is really very dry!

Luckily for me, Cozycot and The Body Shop have recently sponsored me a tub of body moisturizer.

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter, provides an almost 24-hour hydration to the skin, with cold-pressed satsuma oil formulated inside.

Body care products from The Body Shop have been well-known for its sweet, fruity scent all these years. I am still in love with their Shower Gel in Peach, scent, everytime after a shower, the bathroom is filled with the nice peachy scent!

So it Satsuma Body Butter! It has a light orangy scent which is body-refreshing and mind-soothing.

The word “butter” used to be scaring me, giving me the impression it’s going to make my skin feeling oily. But I was wrong all these while.

I will just have to use the right amount of Satsuma Body Butter, I can still achieve moisturized skin without making it any sticky and oily!

Spreading is easy. As I spread, my hand and fingers get moisturized too!

Same results when I apply on my arms. Hydration is very long-lasting and my skin feels as if there’s a layer of protection on it.

Finally found a body cream that suits me! Looking forward to a healthy-looking skin with Satsuma Body Butter! <3

#Review# Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing Cream

This isn’t my first time to try out moisturizer from Olay. Few years ago, I was hooked to their Total Effects moisturizer. I loved how light the cream was on my face.

This time round, I was sponsored one of their new product by Olay & Cozycot.

It comes in a 50ml bottle with a pump and cover. Product seems to be freshly sealed and prevents any leakage.

From the product’s name, Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing Cream, it already tells me the product is meant to combat against wrinkles and fine lines.

Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing Cream helps to reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s a great product for those who are into anti-aging skincare.

How it works is mainly because it contains advanced micro fillers.

After all the cleansing and essence applications, Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing Cream comes in and acts as a moisturizer for the face. At the sametime, it’s formula (with the micro fillers) helps to smooth skin’s surface. This is almost like an immediate result for my laugh lines.

Here are the before-and-after snapshots when I tried it on my wrist where the lines are more deeper than face.

See the results? My wrist lines are less deeper than before!

When I apply the cream on my skin, I can already feel the texture is slightly different from some creams which I’ve used. The spreading of Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing Cream seems to leave a protective layer on my skin.

Highly recommended to use it the neck!

Texture-wise is not as heavy as most face cream. But too much an amount may leave the face feeling sticky. I have to ensure the cream is evenly spread on my face and any excess goes to my neck.

Despite the cream is in white, it doesn’t leave a white cast on my face and neck. :)

#Review# Curel Skincare – Japan’s No. 1 brand for Sensitive Asian skin

Tried out a 4-piece trial kit set from Curel since 3 days ago.  Curel is made in Japan and i’s No.1 skincare brand for sensitive asian skin.

I love the gentleness the products gave to my skin (though I have non-sensitive skin).

Hypoallergenic | Fragrance-free | Colorant-free | Alcohol-free | Clinically tested on sensitive skin | pH balanced

And because the products contain ceramide functioning ingredient, I let mum to try them once a day. The deep moisture is what mum needs for her dry aged skin. At night, she will use her anti-aging products while during the day, she use my trial kit as her basic skincare regimen.

About Curel Skincare
Our skin has actually got this natural moisturizing ingredient, Ceramide. But as the skin ages, ceramide loses its moisturizing function, that’s why we need skincare products with ceramide functions to help replenish moisture, which in returns help to strengthen the skin and be more resistant to external irritation (tends to happen in sensitive skin).

Curel skincare are formulated with ceramide functioning ingredient, to boost the skin moisture concentration.

Curel Makeup Cleansing Gel, acts as a makeup remover. It is able to removes my makeup including my thick foundation thoroughly. Its gel texture spreads easily on my skin without much rubbing and skin tugging.

After 1-2 minute gentle rubbing, my foundation comes off easily. Skin feels smooth and clean after rinsing.

After removing my makeup, I proceed to cleanse my face with Curel Foaming Wash. My combination skin is like 70% dry and 30% oily, pretty close to a dry skin type. So I seldom use foaming facial wash which tends to make my skin feeling tight after cleansing.

But Curel Foaming Wash doesn’t dry my skin and infact my skin feels soft after rinsing! A 2 pumps of the foam is required. And when applied on my wet face, I just have to give my face a gentle massage because the foam provides a good cushion during the massaging.

After all the cleansing, it’s now about moisturizing the skin. Curel Moisture Lotion II softens the skin to prep the skin for a better moisture absorption. Skin feels refreshing after use.

For those who do not like thick creamy moisturizer, Curel Moisture Face Milk maybe an alternative product to use. Its milky texture is very lightweight on my skin, and is also easily absorbed  into my skin.

Despite my mum and myself do not have sensitive skin, Curel skincare works very well on us too.  :)

Fresh Skincare with Skin Ergetic from Biotherm

Ladies living in this century are very independent. Most of us lead a hectic lifestyle looking after our families and work, and we also have to take care of ourselves, ensuring we still look fresh and good everyday, hiding away the tiredness.

First sign of tiredness is always on the face, signs of fatigue like:
Loss of radiance
Uneven complexion
Visible pores
Unrefined skin texture
Roughness

Gosh, I think I have all of the above! =/

The quote sounds so true on me! Every time after skincare and makeup, I always feel I’m on top form. But a few hours later, my face tends to look dull again. Sigh!

Biotherm has recently developed a new skincare product, Skin Ergetic Serum. It’s all about FRESH skincare to achieve a skin looking fresh!

Why it’s fresh is because of the active ingredients used inside the formulation and it makes use of Fresh Skincare Technology.

Brocolli Extract!
Brocolli is one veg which contains a lot of health benefits, anti-oxidant functions and is able to induce defense systems. The main nutrients from broccoli are the extracts from its sprouts which are rich in Sulforaphane (active compound), which helps to product an anti-oxidant self-defense system.

Fresh Skincare Technology
Although broccoli extract is a powerful active ingredient in fighting skin fatigue, but when it is added to a skincare (watery texture, serum in this case), it becomes very unstable. Biotherm laboratories overcome this by packaging the broccoli extract into a capsule, tightly and freshly sealed. The concentrated broccoli extract will be released from the capsule into the serum in just one click during opening of the product.

How To Use
This technology ensures that the active ingredient added to the skincare is able to retain its optimum stability for 3 months, which is to say, the serum (after mixing with the broccoli extract in powdery form) expires 3 months after the date of opening.

To help me in remembering the date, there’s a sticker labeled behind the serum bottle for me to jot down the date of opening.

Taking about 2-3 drops are more than enough as a serum for my whole face. Any excess, I just massage and pat them onto my neck.

 

It comes in watery texture (just like any other serum), non-oily on my skin. Infact it is easily absorbed into the skin after the massage and leaves the skin feeling refreshed. Despite it contains broccoli extract, there isn’t any broccoli smell, it smells fruity and refreshing.

Other than just depending on this “Fresh” serum, taking a lot of vegetables and fruits are important as well. I’ll recommend vegetables which are in green (like broccoli) and fruits like , prunes, berries, purple grapes, kiwi (the yellow one) which are provide anti-oxidant purpose and rich in Vitamin C and E. These in turn helps to achieve a brighten-up skin and delay skin aging.

Of course, it’s always a good habit to see something in green for a minute after facing the monitor/TV for too long. This helps to rest our eyes!

That said, keeping a pot of plants in our rooms, work desks make our living/working environment so much livelier!
