It’s their basic 3 step skincare, with minimized stress being exerted into the skin!
Step 1 is their cleansing method. Japanese girls have the habit of using a foaming net/ball to create quality and moderate foam from their cleanser to provide cushion and reduce stress exerted during cleansing. They know that during cleansing, tugging of the skin is unavoidable, so in order to minimize the skin tugging, the cushion from soft foam created during cleansing helps!
Step 2 is using lotion. In most Japanese skincare, toner is replaced by lotion because they believed not everyone has pore issue, so there’s no need for a pore minimizing toner. Instead a lotion helps to soften the skin, preps the skin for Step 3. In Step 2, skin tugging is minimized by gently patting the face using palms or cotton pad which are soaked with lotion.
Step 3 is applying moisturizer using the middle and 4th finger to pat the moisturizer into the skin, because these two fingers are the ones with minimal strength exerted, and hence less skin tugging. Fingers move in the outward motion.
With all these minimized stress and skin tugging, the bounciness of the face will be well-maintained.
Ensuring enough foam is created during cleansing can be a hassle, especially during the morning rush or when we are desperate to get onto the bed.

When I zoom in to look at the fluffy foam, I see the super tiny bubbles and feel the ultra fine texture on the foam. The bubbles are like so much smaller than the pores, I am sure the foam is able to clean my pores without clogging.
