In this Spring, how about some candy coated lids on your eye make up, and sugar rush flush on your cheeks?
On 2nd Feb this year, Za-Cosmetics will be launching new make up colours, Candylicious, which is going to spice up the cheeks and eyes!
The theme for this new range is all about sugar and sweets!
The theme explains the cheery colours in this collection!
The colours in Candylicious are a little different from the past collections, in terms of texture and formulation. Don’t expect the colours to be extremely vibrant and pigmented. But expect a long-lasting wear from them! I am rather surprised by the fact that despite the less pigmented formula, the colours are very well naturally brought up after applying.
In Candylicious, there are a total of 4 Eyes Groovy mix-palettes:
The best thing about these 4 palettes is, all 16 colours can be easily mixed and put on together on the eyelids.
Some special points on Eyes Groovy:
The amount of each shade in each palette is proportionate to avoid wastage. You know la, there are times that as we go on using the palette, there will always be 1 or 2 shades which are in excess when the main shade is already finished. But Eyes Groovy palettes are designed to solve this wastage problem!
Eyes Groovy palettes are designed with the letters “Za” as the colour divider. So unique!
It’s going to be fun playing around with all the colours from Eyes Groovy.
Eyes Groovy are less pigmented than the usual colours from Za-Cosmetics. But their fine powder-making technology makes the colours suitable for long-lasting wear.
Its fine powder technology, in layman term, is about ensuring the powder spreads evenly, blends into the skin to achieve a translucent colour. Colorant of the powder is coated to prevent smudging due to oil sebum. This explains its long-lasting and smudge-proof colour definition. Contains Vitamin E to nourish the delicate skin around the eyes.
*Stay looking glamorous whole day!
For the cheeks, there are 5 Cheeks Groovy including 1 highlighter:
Pink Petal is very light and sheer, but its pink can still be easily brought out by those with very fair skintone. I am not very fair but It turns out to be a very natural flush on my skintone.
Most blusher in orange suits dark skintone. But Apricot Pink in Cheeks Groovy seems good for most skin tone, even an average fair skin tone like mine.
For me, I am big fan of pink blusher. Any pink which can flush my cheeks, I will love it!
So my picks are Strawberry Pink and Glowing Pink. =)
Are you a huge fan of NARS Orgasm? Well, Cheeks Groovy from Candylicious collection are formulated using the same powder-making technology as NARS cosmetics. This explains why the texture and colours look almost the same!
And incase you aren’t aware of it, NARS cosmetics and Za-Cosmetics fall under the big brand, Shiseido. =)
Cheeks Groovy are very easy to blend due to its fine powder. After applying, it leaves a non-powdery, smooth finish on the cheeks, and this explains why the natural blush effect.
And of course, there is Vitamin E, you know la, Za products are well-know for containing Vitamin E.
All 4 Cheeks Groovy are really pretty and suit both day/night make up.
The highlighter is mad love! I missed my chance to own the cheeks highlighter, Vanilla, from Majolica Majorca Suger Trap Collection. So when the folks from Za-Cosmetics sponsored me Bridal Beige, I felt like on cloud 9 lo!
I’m so proud to be one of the first few catch this sneak preview, and am even more proud to own them!
