[Review] Heavy Rotation Lip Concealer & Lipgloss

In this entry, I will be reviewing about the Lip Concealer (SGD14.90) and Sexy Enamel Gloss (SGD16.90) from Heavy Rotation, one of the popular Japanese brands in Japanese drugstores. These two items can be easily found in our local Watsons.

I was trying to create a nude-coloured lips using these two products.
Inorder to create nude lips, I will need a concealer to hide away the red pigments on my lips, so as for the pink nude lipgloss to be able to stay onto my lips, and reveal the nude colour on my lips.

This is the Lip Concealer in Nude Beige.

Basically it’s like a stick concealer, just that this is especially for the lips due to the ingredients on lip care.
In this review, i applied sparingly as it was my 2nd time using, and i was worried the nude would make my face looked pale which it sort of did during my first trial. During my first trial, I had dark eye makeup and rosy blusher, somehow the nude lips didn’t match with my makeup and probably didn’t suit me.So during this 2nd trial, i applied only a thin layer of the concealer incase the nude was too pale for me.

I like the gloss and shine. it’s very moisturizing on my lips. I like the packaging of the lipgloss.It’s actually a tube with brush tip that doubles up as a cap, allows for east, non-fussy, non-messy usage. I just need to rotate the cap in the direction indicated as “OPEN” and likewise to close.

Any remaining gloss on the brush, i just brush it on my hand and apply them onto my lips, or wipe the brush tip with a tissue paper when the cap is at “close” position.Here’s my before and after photos of using the lip concealer and lipgloss from Heavy Rotation.
I guess the lighting was a tad too bright, hence unable to show you the shine and gloss from the lipgloss.
But at least you can see the difference after application.

 

I mentioned earlier that I only applied a thin layer of the concealer because I wanted to show abit of redness on my lips. I am sure for those who are in love with nude lips, you will be able to create a very nude pair of lips with these two products!Other than doing a comparisong my lip colours before and after using the concealer and lipgloss, you may want to refer to the photo of the lipgloss with original packaging. On that packaging, there is a picture of a pair of lips from the model, I actually compared her colour with mine, I was able to see the closeness of the colours, so alike.
